In short: this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Visits are measured with Google Analytics 4 in cookieless mode — the tag itself writes no analytics cookie or identifier to your device. On an ordinary visit the only thing stored on your device is a strictly necessary marker of your language choice; the gr_int flag described below is added only if you ask for it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so the site works and so its use can be measured. Some are strictly necessary, others are for analytics or advertising.

Cookies on this site

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. On an ordinary visit the only thing stored in your browser’s local storage is one strictly necessary marker — your language-choice preference, so the language suggestion is not shown repeatedly. That is not a tracking cookie and it never reaches our server. No advertising cookies or ad network are used.

One exception, named here rather than passed over in silence: the gr_int flag, our own exclusion for internal visits, so that our test traffic does not end up in the figures. It is written only when you deliberately open a page with ?internal=1 appended — as a cookie with a lifetime of one year, and additionally in local storage — and the measurement code reads it on every page view. On an ordinary visit nothing is written, and nothing on this site links to it. It holds a single flag and nothing about you; you delete it by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Analytics: Google Analytics 4

Use of the site is measured with Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA), the site's one third party. Measurement writes no cookie or identifier to your device at all — it is cookieless, aggregated measurement that cannot link one visit or page to another. Google still receives, with each measurement ping, data such as the page URL, the referrer, your device and browser type, and your IP address, from which Google derives an approximate location. That means Google receives personal data, even though nothing is stored as a cookie on your device.

There is no consent banner on this site, because nothing that would require consent is ever stored: Google’s measurement tag sends a default signal, worldwide, that consent to store cookies or identifiers has not been given, and no consent message ever changes that signal — none has ever existed on this site. No advertising cookies or ad network are used.

Managing cookies

Any cookie that is set can be managed at any time in your browser settings — deleted or blocked. Since this site itself sets no analytics or advertising cookie, there is nothing separate here to withdraw. More information about Google:
